● Grid outage scenarioAnimated illustration, not live monitoring. Figures reflect your selections and assumed daily energy production; energy flows and charge timing are not measured in real time.
Daily energy balance
Battery-only runtime estimates usable stored energy divided by modeled battery draw (household load ÷ 90% assumed inverter efficiency + 35 W assumed standby). Daily energy use includes these modeled losses. Solar recharge assumes effective sun hours × array size × 75% delivery factor. Generator input is user-estimated daily energy delivered to batteries, not automatic generator operation. Multi-day shortfall estimates assume a full battery initially and do not model hourly state of charge or charge timing.
Important: Appliance watts are illustrative averages, not measured duty cycles or starting surges. A furnace running more during a blizzard can substantially increase consumption. The 80% default usable-energy setting is an adjustable reserve assumption, not a manufacturer-confirmed usable capacity. Cold weather can reduce available energy, especially if batteries are outside their permitted temperature range. Inverter continuous/surge output, motor starts, battery temperature, reserve settings, conversion losses, generator compatibility, and equipment limits must be checked for an actual design. Electric heat, large HVAC loads, and well pumps may materially change results. No runtime is guaranteed.
